Tottenham have been told they can land a world-class alternative to Savinho for just £51.3 million.

> Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly discovered the price required to sign one of their top attacking targets this summer. After completing big-money deals for Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, Spurs have already shattered their previous transfer spending record, with Roberto De Zerbi receiving strong backing from the club.

> The North London outfit have invested around £237 million so far and are expected to continue strengthening before the transfer window closes. With the midfield now considered complete, Tottenham’s focus has shifted to adding a new winger.

> AC Milan’s Rafael Leao remains a leading target, alongside Manchester City’s Savinho and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford. Leao is understood to be eager for a fresh challenge after spending seven years at Milan, having previously admitted he dreams of testing himself in a new league after giving everything to the Italian club.

> According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, AC Milan are prepared to sell the Portuguese international for between €60 million and €70 million (£51.3m–£59.9m). With Leao currently representing Portugal at the World Cup, any transfer is expected to progress once his international commitments end.

> Although the 27-year-old endured a difficult campaign, finishing with 10 goals and three assists as Milan missed out on Champions League qualification, he remains one of Europe’s most highly rated wide forwards. Tottenham face competition from several elite clubs, including Arsenal, for the winger, who has previously been described as “world-class” and praised for his match-winning quality by former Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri.
