Manor Solomon has revealed he was left angered and disappointed after Tottenham blocked his proposed move to Crystal Palace last summer.

Manor Solomon has revealed he was left disappointed and frustrated after Tottenham blocked a potential transfer to Crystal Palace last summer.

The Israeli international joined Spurs in July 2023 but struggled to establish himself in the team, with injuries playing a significant role in limiting his opportunities. Crystal Palace attempted to sign the winger during the previous transfer window, offering him a route away from north London, and Solomon was eager to make the move. However, the transfer ultimately failed to materialise.

Speaking in an interview with Sport5, Solomon explained that then-Tottenham manager Thomas Frank initially wanted to keep him at the club. Despite this, Spurs later looked to create space in the squad to facilitate the arrival of French striker Randal Kolo Muani, who joined on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

Solomon recalled that he had already prepared to leave London when Palace’s interest intensified.

> “At the end of the transfer window, when I returned to play, the coach saw me again and told me he wanted me to stay. We had already packed everything up in London, and the next day I flew out to join the national team,” he said.

He added that agent Pini Zahavi later informed him Tottenham needed to free up a squad place for a new signing, with Solomon seemingly the player set to make way.

Determined to leave after feeling unwanted, Solomon urged his representative to finalise the move to Selhurst Park as quickly as possible. However, negotiations between the two clubs reportedly broke down due to tensions behind the scenes.

> “I told him, ‘Close the deal with Palace. I don’t want to be in a situation like this,’” Solomon explained.

The 26-year-old admitted he was offended when the transfer collapsed, leaving him stuck at Tottenham after the window closed.

Instead, Spurs loaned him to Villarreal in September 2025 before recalling him in January and sending him to Fiorentina for the remainder of the season.

Solomon’s long-term future remains unresolved, although his agent is reportedly hopeful that he could still have a role to play at Tottenham next season.
