Tottenham are edging closer to smashing their transfer record after Manchester City reportedly approved the possible sale of an attacker Spurs are eager to sign, with the player himself believed to be interested in the move.
The North London club’s current record signing remains Dominic Solanke, who arrived in 2024 in a deal worth around £65m including add-ons, but Spurs are now ready to spend heavily after surviving two disappointing 17th-place finishes.
New manager Roberto De Zerbi is already planning major changes to the squad, with Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi expected to join on free transfers after agreements were reached in principle.
Despite those additions, Tottenham’s priority remains strengthening the attack, with renewed interest in Savinho. Spurs had previously seen offers worth around €80m (£70m) rejected by Manchester City last summer.
Although City later handed the Brazilian winger a new contract, limited playing time this season has reopened the possibility of a move away from the Etihad.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham remain very interested in the 22-year-old, with both the club and De Zerbi keen to push the deal through. Savinho is also reportedly open to joining Spurs, meaning a transfer could move quickly if an agreement is reached with Manchester City.
