Tottenham are said to be edging closer to a club-record transfer after Manchester City reportedly approved the possible sale of one of their attacking stars, with the player himself willing to make the move.
Spurs’ current record signing remains Dominic Solanke, who arrived in 2024 in a deal worth around £65 million including bonuses. But after consecutive 17th-place finishes, the North London side are now preparing for a huge rebuild under new manager Roberto De Zerbi.
De Zerbi is expected to make major changes to the squad, with Tottenham already moving to strengthen leadership and experience through planned free-transfer arrivals of Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi.
However, attacking reinforcements remain the priority, and Spurs have reignited their pursuit of Savinho after previously seeing bids of around €80 million (£70 million) rejected by Manchester City last summer.
Although City later handed the Brazilian winger a new contract, his lack of regular minutes this season has reopened the door for Tottenham to make another move.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Spurs remain strongly interested in the 22-year-old, with both the club and De Zerbi eager to secure the signing. Savinho is also reportedly open to joining Tottenham, and if negotiations with City progress smoothly, a deal could soon be finalized.
