Thomas Frank could make Premier League return with London club

Thomas Frank is reportedly preparing to return to management, with the former Tottenham and Brentford boss keeping an eye on several Premier League clubs ahead of his next move.

The 52-year-old has been without a job since leaving Tottenham in February, but his reputation remains strong following his successful spell at Brentford, where he established the club as a competitive and stable Premier League side.

Frank wants to return to the Premier League

According to Football Insider, Frank is eager to get back into Premier League management and is already monitoring potential opportunities.

Crystal Palace and Fulham have emerged as possible destinations, although neither club is currently looking to make an immediate change in the dugout.

Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown said Frank would be keen to return to the Premier League soon and is likely to be watching developments at several clubs closely.

“Thomas Frank will be keen to return to the Premier League soon,” Brown said.

He added that Frank remains highly regarded and could attract interest from clubs such as Crystal Palace and Fulham if their managerial situations change.

Palace have previously shown an interest in Frank and reportedly approached him earlier this year before appointing Pierre Sage. Sage has faced a challenging start, with Palace conceding 11 goals across their opening four Premier League matches, although their results have improved somewhat in recent weeks.

Fulham are another club being monitored. Álvaro Arbeloa has come under pressure following a winless start, but the club’s hierarchy currently remains behind him and is not expected to make a managerial change during the international break.

Frank’s Brentford success keeps him in demand

Although Frank’s time at Tottenham ended disappointingly, his achievements at Brentford continue to work in his favour.

He built a competitive and tactically adaptable team at Brentford despite operating with significantly fewer financial resources than the Premier League’s biggest clubs.

That record could make him an attractive option for clubs such as Palace or Fulham should their current managerial situations deteriorate.

For Frank, however, the timing of his next appointment could be crucial. After his Tottenham experience, taking charge of another unstable club could carry significant risk.

A club with patience, a clear recruitment structure and realistic expectations could provide a better environment for him than another job demanding immediate results.

For now, Frank has the option of waiting for the right opportunity. Should Crystal Palace or Fulham decide to change managers later in the season, his Premier League experience could put him among the names considered.
