Liverpool are expected to strengthen their right-back options this summer, with Rayo Vallecano defender Andrei Ratiu emerging as a potential target.
The 28-year-old Romanian international has impressed with his performances in La Liga, attracting interest from the Premier League champions. According to Anfield Index, Liverpool are considering a move and have already added him to their shortlist.
Ratiu currently has a €25 million release clause in his contract, a figure Liverpool can comfortably afford. Although Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley are available, both have struggled with injury setbacks, highlighting the need for greater depth in the position.
The Romanian has consistently demonstrated his ability in Spain and is believed to possess the qualities needed to adapt successfully to English football. Barcelona are also monitoring the defender, but Liverpool are said to have held discussions with his representatives in recent weeks, giving them an early advantage in the race.
Reports suggest that a transfer could ultimately be agreed for around €20 million, making him an attractive option for Liverpool as they continue to reshape their squad.
