Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made early contact over a potential move for Bournemouth’s highly rated attacker Eli Junior Kroupi, with the French youngster emerging as one of the club’s top attacking targets after their pursuit of Sandro Tonali.
The 20-year-old has drawn comparisons to former Spurs star Dele Alli thanks to his explosive impact at a young age and his ability to influence games in the final third. Tottenham are said to have enquired about Kroupi’s availability and discussed possible payment structures, although Bournemouth are reluctant to sell and are believed to value him at around £90 million.
Spurs fans still look back fondly on Dele Alli’s rise after his £5 million move from MK Dons in 2015. The midfielder quickly became one of the Premier League’s brightest talents, registering double figures for goals and assists in his debut campaign before producing 22 goals in the 2016/17 season. Injuries and inconsistency eventually halted his progress, but he remains one of the club’s standout players of the past decade.
Tottenham now hope Kroupi could follow a similar path. The France youth international enjoyed a sensational breakthrough season with Bournemouth, scoring 13 Premier League goals as a teenager—more than Dele managed at the same age and among the best debut campaigns by any teenager in the competition’s history.
Known for his clinical finishing, pace and versatility, Kroupi is comfortable playing as a striker, attacking midfielder or winger, making him an ideal fit for Roberto De Zerbi’s attacking style. His performances have also attracted interest from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, meaning Spurs could face fierce competition if they decide to pursue a deal.
Landing Kroupi would represent another major statement in Tottenham’s ambitious summer rebuild and could provide supporters with the kind of exciting young attacking talent they have been searching for since Dele Alli’s peak years.
