Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly submitted an official £70 million offer for Manchester City winger Savinho, according to Italian journalist Luca Cerchione.
Spurs have already enjoyed a productive summer transfer window, bringing in Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Martin Dubravka, Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes, and Sandro Tonali as part of Roberto De Zerbi’s squad overhaul.
While the club is also assessing potential departures, strengthening the attack remains a key priority. Savinho has emerged as Tottenham’s leading target, with De Zerbi believed to be a long-time admirer of the Brazilian international.
The North London club came close to signing the 22-year-old last summer, but Manchester City halted the move after Pep Guardiola decided to keep him, leading to Savinho signing a new long-term contract.
However, after a disappointing campaign in which he scored just once across all competitions, City are now open to letting him leave, giving Tottenham another opportunity to secure his signature.
Reports claim Spurs have now lodged a formal £70 million bid and are hoping to speed up negotiations so Savinho can join the squad during pre-season. The winger is also said to have already agreed personal terms, with City’s asking price believed to be close to Tottenham’s latest offer, raising hopes that an agreement could be reached soon.
Although some supporters may have expected a more high-profile attacking signing given the club’s heavy spending this summer, Savinho is widely regarded as one of the brightest young wingers in Europe. His pace, creativity, and technical ability make him an ideal fit for De Zerbi’s attacking philosophy.
The Tottenham boss sees the Brazilian as a crucial piece of his long-term project, believing his arrival would strengthen the squad and help implement the dynamic style of football he wants as Spurs aim to climb the Premier League table.
