Swansea City have completed a shock move for striker Zan Vipotnik on a free transfer.
The 22-year-old has joined on a free transfer from Bordeaux, who recently abandoned their professional status following a decision to file for bankruptcy.
He signs on a four-year deal at the Swansea.com Stadium, in a move that represents a huge boost to the club’s attacking options, following the departures of Jamal Lowe and Jerry Yates, both of whom were joint top scorers for the Swans last term.
Swans fans will have to wait a little while to catch their first glimpse of the Slovenian international, who is set to fly in to link up with his new team-mates next week.
Vipotknik netted 10 goals in 40 appearances for Bordeaux last season, and has also scored two goals in ten appearances for Slovenia, and was also part of their recent Euro 2024 squad, making an appearance off the bench against Serbia.
