Tottenham Hotspur have stepped up their interest in Savinho, with fresh reports suggesting talks have resumed over a move for the Manchester City winger.
Spurs have tracked the Brazilian for several transfer windows and were reportedly prepared to offer £70 million for him last summer. However, Pep Guardiola was keen to keep the 22-year-old at the Etihad, preventing any deal from progressing.
With Guardiola no longer in charge, Tottenham believe they may now have a genuine opportunity to land the winger. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Manchester City are already exploring alternative wide players should Savinho decide to leave this summer.
Romano stated that Spurs remain keen on the Brazilian, while City are assessing potential replacements but will only move if the right opportunity arises.
Despite Tottenham’s interest, some supporters have questioned whether Savinho is worth the reported £75m-£80m valuation, especially after a season in which he managed just one Premier League goal and two assists. Others would prefer the club to pursue alternative targets such as Jarrod Bowen.
