🚨 Roberto De Zerbi delivers fresh Tottenham injury update ahead of Leeds clash
Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has provided a fresh injury update ahead of his side’s Premier League meeting with Leeds United on Saturday.
Spurs have received some positive news, with two players becoming available for selection, although three others will remain sidelined.
Tottenham will travel to Elland Road looking to extend their winning run to four consecutive Premier League matches after securing victories over Coventry City, Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
However, Lucas Bergvall, Savio and Mykhailo Mudryk will all miss the upcoming encounter as they continue recovering from their respective injuries.
Bergvall has not featured for Tottenham since suffering a knee injury during the dramatic 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford on October 10.
Rodrigo Bentancur was also involved in that match, receiving a late red card for an incident involving Luke Shaw. The midfielder has now completed his three-match suspension and is available again.
Savio also picked up a muscular injury during the Manchester United encounter. Although the Brazilian winger has recently been spotted back at Tottenham’s training ground, he is not yet ready to return.
Meanwhile, Mudryk has endured a frustrating start to his Tottenham career. The Chelsea loanee has managed just one appearance since arriving on a season-long deal, making his debut against Nottingham Forest on September 5 before suffering an ankle injury during training.
There is better news regarding defender Tosin Adarabioyo, who has recovered from his calf problem and is now available for selection.
The defender made his first start for Tottenham against Coventry City last month but was subsequently ruled out of the club’s last two matches against Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference, De Zerbi confirmed the availability situation.

The Italian manager made it clear that Savio, Bergvall and Mudryk would miss the Leeds encounter, while Tosin has returned to training with the first team and is ready to be considered.
Tottenham will also continue without Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons, who are both recovering from serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries.
Odobert is expected to resume training around January, following the Christmas period, according to De Zerbi’s previous update.
Simons, meanwhile, is reportedly approaching the final stages of his recovery, with expectations that he could return to training with his teammates later in November.
Despite the injury problems, Tottenham will head into Saturday’s encounter with renewed confidence as they look to maintain their impressive recent Premier League form.
