Liverpool have reportedly received highly encouraging scouting reports on Real Sociedad right-back Jon Aramburu, with Manchester City also monitoring the Venezuela international.
The 24-year-old has emerged as an attractive option for several Premier League clubs after impressing with his defensive reliability, athleticism and ability to contribute going forward. Aramburu is naturally a right-back but can also operate on the left, adding to his appeal.
Manchester City have already assessed the defender as part of their search for additional defensive options. Liverpool, meanwhile, are understood to have carried out extensive checks and have been particularly impressed by his overall profile.
Several other Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, Newcastle United, Everton and Fulham, have also reportedly monitored Aramburu.
The biggest factor in any potential transfer is his release clause. Despite being under contract with Real Sociedad until 2030, Aramburu reportedly has a clause worth around £50 million.
There is currently no indication that the Venezuelan is pushing to leave Sociedad. However, the growing Premier League interest and the presence of a fixed £50m release clause could make him a player to watch in future transfer windows.
For Liverpool, the positive scouting reports have kept Aramburu firmly on their radar, while Manchester City are also believed to value his defensive ability and positional versatility.
