Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Martin Dúbravka, making the experienced 37-year-old goalkeeper their fourth arrival of the summer after Jan Paul van Hecke, Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson. His arrival all but confirms reports that Antonín Kinský will be entrusted as Spurs’ first-choice goalkeeper next season following his impressive performances in the closing stages of the previous campaign, where he played a key role in helping the club avoid relegation.
Meanwhile, Guglielmo Vicario appears increasingly likely to leave North London and return to Italy. Juventus have long been credited with an interest in the Italian goalkeeper, although the Turin club are also monitoring Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martínez as an alternative if Villa lower their valuation.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that Vicario is expected to depart Tottenham this summer. However, he revealed Juventus could prioritise Martínez should his price become more affordable, while Napoli are also keeping tabs on Vicario as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping department if they offload one of their current keepers.
Writing on X, Romano said: “Guglielmo Vicario, set to leave Tottenham with Italian clubs keen on the goalkeeper. Juventus are informed in case Aston Villa’s price for Dibu Martínez doesn’t drop. Napoli are monitoring Vicario if they can sell a goalkeeper this summer, with him among the names on their shortlist.”
Vicario may not be the only high-profile departure from Hotspur Way. New head coach Roberto De Zerbi is expected to oversee a major squad overhaul ahead of his first full campaign in charge.
According to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge, Tottenham could also listen to offers for Cristian Romero, Pape Matar Sarr, Radu Drăgușin, Luka Vušković and Manor Solomon. With Lucas Bergvall also reportedly seeking an exit, Spurs could generate more than £250 million through player sales before the transfer window closes.
