Fabrizio Romano has dismissed speculation over Pedro Porro’s future, revealing that Roberto De Zerbi wants the £60m-rated Spaniard to remain at Tottenham. Despite interest from Manchester City and Atletico Madrid, Spurs view Porro as a key part of their long-term project and have no intention of letting him leave this summer.
Porro has emerged as a target for City ahead of the transfer window, while reports in Spain suggested Atletico Madrid are also monitoring his situation. However, Romano insists Tottenham are determined to keep the right-back, with De Zerbi considering him an important player in his plans for next season.
As Spurs continue talks to strengthen their squad with potential arrivals such as Jan Paul van Hecke and Savinho, De Zerbi is also focused on retaining key figures already at the club. Unless there is a major change in circumstances, Porro is expected to remain in North London and play a central role in Tottenham’s future.
