Liverpool have been handed an interesting transfer suggestion, with former Reds striker Emile Heskey urging the club to consider a move for Chelsea’s Brazilian youngster EstĂŞvĂŁo Willian.
The 19-year-old winger has attracted attention following his limited playing opportunities under Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso this season, raising questions about how regularly he will feature at Stamford Bridge.
Despite his enormous potential, EstĂŞvĂŁo has reportedly managed just 134 minutes of Premier League action this campaign, although he recently impressed with his first league start of the season against Manchester United.
Heskey believes the Brazilian could be an exciting addition to Liverpool’s attack, particularly following the departure of Mohamed Salah.
Speaking about the Chelsea youngster, the former Liverpool forward praised his ability on the ball, direct running and attacking mentality.
Heskey believes those qualities are exactly what Liverpool need, especially in an attacking department that could benefit from having another winger willing to take defenders on and create opportunities.
He also suggested that EstĂŞvĂŁo’s arrival could increase competition among Liverpool’s attacking players and give the team another dangerous attacking option.
However, there is currently no indication that Liverpool have submitted an official bid for the Brazilian.
Chelsea also remain keen to develop the youngster, meaning any potential move would be difficult to negotiate.
