Liverpool are reportedly laying the groundwork for a potential summer 2027 move for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, with the France international said to be very keen on a move to Anfield.
Olise, 24, has emerged as a major attacking target as Liverpool look for a long-term option on the right side following Mohamed Salah’s departure. Reports claim discussions have already taken place, although the reliability of some of the claims remains uncertain.
The biggest complication is Olise’s changing role at Bayern. Christian Falk reports that Vincent Kompany is increasingly using him centrally, similar to his role with France. That could create a tactical question at Liverpool, where Florian Wirtz is also expected to operate in central attacking areas.
Bayern have also previously indicated that they want to keep Olise, making any future transfer potentially very difficult and expensive. Liverpool themselves have reported that Bayern are seeking a new contract for the winger amid interest from several major clubs.
In short: Liverpool are reportedly interested and Olise is said to be open to the move, but a transfer is far from guaranteed, with Bayern’s stance, the potential fee and his tactical role all important factors.
