BREAKING NEWS: Anton Dubrov, the coach of tennis star Aryna Sabalenka, has reportedly submitted a formal request to the US Open organizers and the WTA Officiating Committee.

According to the report, Dubrov is calling for a special investigation into Elena Rybakina immediately following the US Open final. The request is said to seek an official review of matters surrounding the match and to have the relevant authorities examine the situation after the championship showdown.

US OPEN DRAMA: Sabalenka’s Coach Reportedly Seeks Investigation Into Rybakina After Final

Fresh controversy has reportedly emerged following the 2026 US Open women’s final, with claims that Aryna Sabalenka’s coach, Anton Dubrov, submitted a request for an investigation involving Elena Rybakina.

However, no reliable confirmation of such a request from the US Open or WTA has been found so far.

Rybakina defeated defending champion Sabalenka 6–4, 5–7, 6–2 in the final at Arthur Ashe Stadium, securing her third Grand Slam title and second major of 2026. The victory also moved Rybakina to the top of the WTA rankings.

The two stars had entered the final as the top two players in the rankings, with Sabalenka attempting to win a third consecutive US Open title. Rybakina ultimately ended that run with a three-set victory.

For now, any claim that Dubrov has formally demanded an investigation should be treated as unverified unless an official statement from the WTA, US Open organizers, or Sabalenka’s team confirms it.
