Wirtz and his Germany teammates are reportedly in SHOCK just two days before Jürgen Klopp takes charge of his first match as Germany manager.
Germany are set to travel to Amsterdam to face the Netherlands on 24 September in the Nations League, before taking on Greece at home and later meeting Serbia and Greece again during a demanding 11-day schedule.
Klopp took over the national team in July after Germany were knocked out of the 2026 World Cup by Paraguay on penalties in the last 32. Julian Nagelsmann resigned shortly afterwards, clearing the way for Klopp’s appointment.
The former Mainz, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool manager has reportedly signed a contract until 2030, putting him in line to lead Germany at Euro 2028 and the next World Cup.
After arriving from his role as Red Bull’s global head of soccer, Klopp immediately made it clear that he wanted to introduce his own culture and standards to the national team.
His latest rules point towards a Germany built around discipline, strict routines and fewer distractions.
Now, all eyes are on whether Klopp’s demanding approach will produce results on the pitch.
His first major test awaits in Amsterdam.
