HERE WE GO: Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye go head-to-head…
Not Only Bradley Barcola: Ibrahim Mbaye Gives Liverpool Major Transfer Boost
Liverpool are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of highly-rated Paris Saint-Germain youngster Ibrahim Mbaye, with the talented winger said to be keen on completing a move to Anfield this summer. While the Reds continue negotiations for Bradley Barcola, they are also working on a deal for Mbaye as part of plans to strengthen their attacking options before the transfer window closes.

Liverpool Eye Double PSG Raid
According to reports from RMC Sport, Liverpool have identified Mbaye as a key target to add quality on the right flank. The teenager has reportedly approved the move, paving the way for formal discussions with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Reds are believed to be aiming to sign both Barcola and Mbaye in the same transfer window. Despite featuring 30 times and scoring three goals last season, Mbaye is understood to be frustrated by his limited role in the PSG first team.

PSG have reportedly placed a €50 million valuation on the Senegalese winger after his impressive displays, including a goal during his country’s 3-1 defeat to France at the recent World Cup. However, Liverpool are not alone in the race, with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City also keeping a close watch on the youngster.

Liverpool Face Strong Competition
Borussia Dortmund have already expressed interest in Mbaye, but Liverpool have reportedly taken a significant step by making direct contact with his new representative, Jorge Mendes.
Mbaye recently joined Mendes’ Gestifute agency, a move that could play an important role in negotiations. Several Bundesliga clubs remain interested, and he was previously close to joining RB Leipzig before the move collapsed following the breakdown of another transfer involving Ousmane Diomande to PSG. Since then, the winger has reportedly made Liverpool his preferred destination.
Although PSG are reluctant to sell unless a substantial offer arrives, the French champions reportedly accept that a departure could happen. A transfer close to their €50 million valuation would represent another profitable sale following Gonçalo Ramos’ recent move to AC Milan.
Fits Iraola’s Transfer Plans
Liverpool’s pursuit of Mbaye is said to match head coach Andoni Iraola’s desire to strengthen the wide attacking positions before the new season.
Speaking about the club’s priorities, Iraola recently said:
> “There are obvious situations where we need to sign players. Winger, for example, we definitely need to sign a winger.”
Landing both Mbaye and Barcola would hand Iraola two exciting wide players capable of adding pace, creativity and directness to Liverpool’s attack while improving squad depth for a demanding campaign.
What Happens Next?
Liverpool are expected to begin formal talks with Paris Saint-Germain over Mbaye in the coming days. With the player reportedly favouring a move to Anfield, agreeing personal terms is not expected to be a major obstacle.
If Liverpool succeed in signing both Mbaye and Barcola, the club could look to reshape its attacking options further, with Cody Gakpo’s future potentially coming under increased scrutiny as Tottenham continue to monitor his situation.
