Liverpool have reportedly joined the race for Crystal Palace left-back Tyrick Mitchell, with the club looking at strengthening the position under manager Andoni Iraola.
Mitchell, 27, is in the final year of his Crystal Palace contract, meaning he could become available on a free transfer next summer if he does not agree a new deal. Manchester United and Chelsea are also reported to be interested.
The interest comes amid questions surrounding Liverpool’s options at left-back, particularly Milos Kerkez. Reports suggest Liverpool could consider Mitchell as an experienced Premier League option, although there is no indication yet that a deal has been agreed or that formal negotiations are underway.
Mitchell has spent his senior career with Palace and has made around 249 appearances for the club. He has also represented England.
For now, this remains a transfer report rather than a confirmed Liverpool signing. Palace are reportedly hoping to extend Mitchell’s contract and keep him at Selhurst Park.
In short: Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Tyrick Mitchell as a possible future left-back signing, with his contract situation making him an attractive potential free-transfer target next summer.
