Xavi Simons has reportedly been encouraging Savinho to make the move to Tottenham Hotspur ever since the Brazilian’s transfer to North London fell through last summer.

Tottenham Hotspur know they must raise their standards after a disappointing campaign that served as a major warning sign for the club. If they are serious about competing for major honours again, this summer’s transfer window will be crucial.

One player who could help transform Spurs’ fortunes is Savinho. Reports suggest Xavi Simons has been encouraging the Manchester City winger to join him in North London ever since Tottenham’s unsuccessful attempt to sign the Brazilian last summer.

The two previously played together at PSV Eindhoven, and a reunion could now be a realistic possibility. Tottenham remain keen on Savinho and are believed to be in discussions over a potential deal.

New manager Roberto De Zerbi is eager to strengthen his attacking options as he looks to guide Spurs back into the race for European qualification. Alongside Savinho, Fiorentina striker Moise Kean is also on De Zerbi’s shortlist, while Paris Saint-Germain forward Gonçalo Ramos has reportedly been offered to the club.

Savinho could prove to be one of the most exciting additions. Despite struggling for regular minutes under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, the Brazilian would likely enjoy a much bigger role at Tottenham. Widely regarded as one of the brightest young attacking talents in football, he possesses the quality to develop into a world-class winger, and De Zerbi appears confident he can help unlock that potential.
