Tottenham are reportedly close to breaking their transfer record after Manchester City gave approval for the potential sale of an attacker they are targeting, with the player also open to the move.
Spurs’ current record signing stands at Dominic Solanke, who joined in 2024 for around £65m including add-ons, but the club are now preparing for major investment following back-to-back 17th-place finishes.
New boss Roberto De Zerbi is expected to reshape the squad, with Tottenham already working on leadership additions through agreed-in-principle free transfers for Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi.
Their main focus, however, is the attack, with Spurs reviving interest in Savinho after previously submitting bids of around €80m (£70m) last summer, which Manchester City rejected.
City later tied the Brazilian down to a new contract, but his situation has changed, with limited game time this season prompting renewed interest from Tottenham.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Spurs remain highly keen on the 22-year-old, with both the club and De Zerbi pushing for the deal, while Savinho himself is also said to be open to the switch. If an agreement is reached with City, the move could be completed.
