Nebraska has locked in an official visit with a talented pass catcher from Missouri.

2025 Christian Brothers (Mo.) wide receiver Corey Simms will officially visit Nebraska the weekend of June 14-16, he announced.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Simms is a three-star prospect according to 247Sports and the No. 45 wide receiver in the country. 

Last season, Simms caught 79 passes for 1,049 yards and 12 touchdowns last season as a junior. 

In addition to the visit to Nebraska, Simms has also locked in trips to USC and Missouri in June. 

Simms was among the visits Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule and the Nebraska offensive staff made in January ahead of National Signing Day. 

Nebraska baseball gave up a late lead and needed extra innings, but the Huskers finished off a sweep over Northwestern with an 8-7 win that extended Nebraska’s winning streak to 10 games.

Northwestern took a 7-6 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning on a three-run homer by Jackson Freeman after Nebraska had held on to a lead for most of Sunday’s series finale.

In the ninth, Cole Evans doubled to leadoff the inning and Tyler Stone followed with a single to set the table for Josh Caron, who tied the game with an RBI single. The Huskers were unable to take the lead however, and a scoreless bottom of the ninth from Kyle Perry sent the game to extra innings.

The Huskers continued their opportunistic offense, as Clay Bradford led off the inning with a strikeout, but ended up on second base when the third strike got by the catcher, who struggled to find the ball. Case Sanderson was hit by a pitch to put two runners on base and Riley Silva sacrificed both runners into scoring position.

Evans came through once again, lifting a sacrifice fly to center to score Bradford and give Nebraska an 8-7 lead. Evans continued his hot hitting on Sunday, going 2-for-4 at the plate with a pair of RBI. Stone was 3-for-4 with an RBI as the Huskers pounded out eight hits and left 11 on base.

Northwestern jumped on Nebraska starter Mason McConnaughey in the first inning. Nebraska led 1-0 after a Stone RBI double scored Evans, but the Wildcats took the lead in the bottom of the inning, with a two-run homer by Freeman.
