Liverpool Step Up PSG Double Swoop as Ibrahim Mbaye Agrees Personal Terms

Liverpool Step Up Pursuit of PSG Duo as Ibrahim Mbaye Agrees Personal Terms

Liverpool are reportedly intensifying their efforts to sign Paris Saint-Germain duo Ibrahim Mbaye and Bradley Barcola before the summer transfer window closes.

According to reports from RMC Sport, Liverpool have already reached an agreement with Mbaye over the financial terms of a five-year contract. The young winger is reportedly ready to make the move to Anfield, meaning Liverpool’s remaining task is to negotiate a transfer fee with PSG.

Mbaye has emerged as an important target for Liverpool as manager Andoni Iraola looks to strengthen his attacking options, particularly in the wide areas. The Reds are believed to be keen on adding more quality and depth to their wings after struggling in those positions last season.

Barcola is another major target for Liverpool and is reportedly considered a priority signing. The 23-year-old French international is said to be eager to resolve his future soon, with his current situation at PSG still uncertain. He has not featured in the club’s recent matchday squads while discussions over his next move continue.

Liverpool remain in negotiations with PSG over both players, although completing the double deal will require significant financial investment. The French champions are expected to demand substantial fees for their two attacking talents.

The potential arrivals would represent a major boost to Liverpool’s options in the final third. The club endured difficulties after losing Luis Diaz and are now also preparing for life without Mohamed Salah, making the addition of two high-quality wide players an important priority.

There is also a case for both Mbaye and Barcola seeking moves away from PSG. With competition for places in Luis Enrique’s squad, regular first-team football could be difficult to guarantee. A move to Liverpool could therefore give both players a greater opportunity to establish themselves and continue their development.

For Liverpool, securing the pair would significantly strengthen Iraola’s attacking department and provide the squad with more pace, creativity and depth on the flanks.

However, personal terms with Mbaye do not mean the transfer is completed. Liverpool still need to reach an agreement with PSG over the transfer fee, while negotiations for Barcola also remain ongoing. The coming days could therefore be crucial as the Reds attempt to complete what would be a major double swoop from the French champions.
