Liverpool have reportedly emerged as another potential destination for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, following the French international’s outstanding start to the 2026/27 season.
Olise has been one of Bayern’s standout attacking players early in the campaign. Reports say he has registered eight goals and four assists in seven matches, giving him 12 direct goal contributions. His form has reportedly attracted attention from several major European clubs, including Liverpool.
The 24-year-old joined Bayern from Crystal Palace in 2024 and has quickly established himself as an important player for the German champions. His performances have continued to improve, and Bayern are reportedly considering a new contract offer despite his existing deal running until 2029.
Liverpool’s interest is not entirely new. Previous reports have described Olise as a player admired by the club, particularly because of his ability to operate naturally from the right side. Liverpool have also reportedly been considering him as a possible long-term attacking option.
There is, however, a major obstacle. Bayern have repeatedly indicated that they want to keep Olise. Bayern president Herbert Hainer previously said the club wanted the player to remain in Munich and pointed to his contract running until 2029.
Bayern have also been experimenting with Olise in a more central role. Christian Falk has reported that Vincent Kompany sees the Frenchman as a potential central attacking fulcrum, including a role similar to the one he has played for France. That could make Bayern even less willing to consider selling him.
Olise’s current form has only strengthened Bayern’s position. The club is reportedly looking at improving his contract terms to reflect his growing importance, rather than preparing for his departure.
So, while Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Michael Olise, there is currently no confirmed agreement or official Liverpool bid. Any potential transfer would depend heavily on Bayern changing their position on the player.
Liverpool fans will certainly be watching the situation closely as Olise continues to produce goals and assists in Germany.
