GRAHAM POTTER MAKES MAJOR ALEXANDER ISAK REVELATION AHEAD OF SWEDEN’S NATIONS LEAGUE CLASHES

Graham Potter Gives Alexander Isak Game-Time Update Ahead of Sweden’s Nations League Matches

Liverpool striker Alexander Isak could feature heavily for Sweden during the current international window, with national-team manager Graham Potter suggesting that the forward could potentially start all four of the team’s upcoming Nations League matches.

Sweden are scheduled to face Romania on September 25, Poland on September 28, Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 2, and Romania again on October 5.

Isak has made an encouraging start to his Liverpool career this season, scoring four goals in seven appearances. His most recent goal came in Liverpool’s victory over Bournemouth, where he scored the winning goal.

Despite the busy schedule ahead, Potter has indicated that Isak could start each match if his physical condition allows it. However, the Sweden boss made it clear that the Liverpool forward is unlikely to play the full 90 minutes in every game.

Potter explained that Isak has played a significant number of matches recently and that the coaching staff will monitor his recovery between fixtures. The manager also acknowledged that Isak is eager to start matches for his country.

According to Potter, Sweden’s priority is to field a strong team rather than rotate players simply for the sake of rotation. He said the decision on Isak’s involvement would depend on how the striker responds after each game.

Importantly for Liverpool, Potter revealed that the club has not contacted him with any specific request regarding Isak’s playing time during the international break.

The situation will nevertheless be closely followed by Liverpool supporters because the club has an important Premier League fixture against Manchester City coming up after the international break.

Isak’s workload is therefore likely to remain a talking point throughout Sweden’s four-match schedule. Potter will have to balance the striker’s desire to play with the need to manage his minutes and ensure he remains fit.

For Liverpool, the preferred outcome will be for Isak to continue his good form for Sweden before returning to Merseyside healthy and ready for the club’s next major fixtures.
