🚨 “FOR SURE…” — Fabrizio Romano CONFIRMS Arsenal’s interest in Liverpool wonderkid Rio Ngumoha amid growing contract uncertainty 👀🔴

Could Liverpool be facing a fight to keep their young star? 😱

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shared his latest update on Rio Ngumoha’s situation, with the Liverpool winger reportedly attracting interest from Arsenal.

The highly rated 18-year-old has quickly caught the eye since breaking into Liverpool’s first-team setup, although questions remain over his long-term future at Anfield.

Concerns over his future were already emerging during the summer, when The Athletic reported that Bayern Munich were monitoring the youngster.

Romano has now addressed the recent Arsenal links on his YouTube channel, suggesting it would be unsurprising for the Gunners to have a player of Ngumoha’s quality on their radar.

Liverpool keen to keep Ngumoha

Despite the speculation, Romano stressed that Liverpool’s current position is clear: the club wants to retain Ngumoha.

The England youth international is under contract with Liverpool until 2028, but Romano believes the club may need to address his situation soon. Otherwise, Arsenal’s interest could potentially become more serious.

“During the summer, there were plenty of reports linking Ngumoha with Bayern Munich and other clubs. However, Liverpool’s stance remained consistent throughout — they had no intention of letting him leave. The club considers Rio an important part of its future and has full confidence in his potential.

“Liverpool have never seriously entertained offers for him, although it’s understandable that other clubs would be keeping an eye on his progress. Ngumoha is regarded as one of the standout young talents in his position, so naturally, there is going to be interest from clubs around Europe.”

“Liverpool’s position has remained firm throughout: Rio Ngumoha is not for sale, and there has been no consideration of letting him leave. There were no talks or negotiations over a potential exit.

“As for the recent Arsenal rumours, the situation is understandable. Arsenal did not bring in a direct replacement for Martinelli after he left. They had already replaced Leandro Trossard with Christos Tzolis and ultimately chose to continue with the squad they had.

“However, Arsenal are always monitoring potential opportunities. If a chance arises to sign Ngumoha in 2027, 2028 or at a later stage, then Arsenal would certainly be among the clubs interested. And I’m sure they wouldn’t be the only ones, with clubs from outside England likely to monitor him as well.”

Here’s a polished paraphrase:

Romano added that there is expected to be plenty of interest in Rio Ngumoha, but Liverpool’s priority remains keeping the young winger at the club.

“The interest in Rio will be significant, but Liverpool currently want to keep him. The club is also in talks with the player over a new contract.

“Those discussions are ongoing, but reaching an agreement still requires work. Liverpool need to meet the guarantees Ngumoha is looking for and find common ground on all the important details.”

Ngumoha could suit Arsenal

Arsenal could benefit from adding a young talent like Ngumoha, particularly given their need for another attacking option on the left side.

Christos Tzolis has made an encouraging start at the Emirates, while Eberechi Eze can also operate in that area. However, there could still be room for Arsenal to strengthen further.

Ngumoha is widely viewed as a player with huge potential, and his ceiling could arguably be higher than the other options currently available. The teenager could eventually be mentioned alongside Arsenal’s own highly rated youngster, Max Dowman, among England’s most promising prospects.

Liverpool will be determined to keep Ngumoha, but the continued transfer speculation could make his contract situation one to watch closely. If an agreement over a new deal is delayed, interest from Arsenal and other clubs could become increasingly significant.
