Interest in Alexis Mac Allister has continued to grow ahead of the summer transfer window, with Real Madrid once again being linked with a potential move for the Liverpool midfielder.
According to reports, the Spanish giants are considering an approach as they look to strengthen their midfield under returning manager José Mourinho, who officially made his comeback to the Santiago Bernabéu this week after a 13-year absence. Madrid are also believed to be closing in on a deal for Bernardo Silva following his departure from Manchester City.
Midfield reinforcements remain a priority for Mourinho, and Mac Allister is said to be among the names under serious consideration. Real Madrid have admired the Argentine international for a long time and continue to view him as a player capable of helping fill the void left by club legends Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić.
Although Mac Allister’s father, Carlos, recently dismissed suggestions of contact between the player and Madrid, speculation surrounding the 27-year-old’s future refuses to disappear. The Liverpool star remains under contract until 2028 after joining from Brighton in 2023, but uncertainty over a potential contract extension has fueled transfer rumours.
Sources indicate that Liverpool are not currently planning fresh contract negotiations with Mac Allister, which has only intensified interest from Madrid ahead of the summer window. Despite a season in which he struggled to consistently hit his highest level after missing pre-season preparations, the midfielder remains highly regarded across Europe following his key role in Liverpool’s Premier League title-winning campaign.
