Liverpool Monitoring £40m-Rated Hull City Goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis
Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close eye on Hull City goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis as they consider their long-term options between the posts. The 23-year-old Greek international has made an impressive start to life in the Premier League since arriving at Hull City this summer.
Tzolakis joined the newly promoted side from Olympiacos in a club-record deal worth around £20 million. However, his performances have quickly increased his value, with reports suggesting Hull could demand approximately £40 million if another club attempts to sign him.
The goalkeeper has attracted attention from several major clubs, with Tottenham Hotspur also monitoring his situation. His early performances for Hull have made him one of the young goalkeepers attracting significant interest in the Premier League.
Liverpool’s interest is partly linked to the long-term situation surrounding Alisson Becker. The Brazilian remains an important figure at Anfield, but at 33, Liverpool will eventually need to plan for life after their long-serving goalkeeper.

The Reds already have Giorgi Mamardashvili and Vítězslav Jaroš among their goalkeeping options, meaning any move for Tzolakis would likely depend on what happens with the existing players. Reports indicate Liverpool are currently monitoring the Greek rather than preparing an immediate bid.
Tzolakis’ rapid adaptation to English football has made the situation particularly interesting. He reportedly kept three clean sheets in his first five Premier League appearances for Hull, demonstrating that he can perform at the highest level despite his relatively young age.
Hull are unlikely to be eager to sell after only signing him this summer. The club see the goalkeeper as an important part of their plans following their promotion to the Premier League.
There is also a financial factor behind the reported £40 million valuation. Olympiacos are understood to have retained a 15% sell-on clause based on future profit from Tzolakis’ transfer, which could influence the amount Hull would want for the player.
Liverpool are therefore expected to continue assessing his progress before deciding whether to make a formal approach. Reports suggest scouts could continue watching him closely during the coming months.
With Tottenham and potentially other European clubs also interested, Liverpool may have competition if they eventually decide Tzolakis is the right long-term successor to Alisson.
For now, however, the situation remains at the monitoring stage, and there is no indication that Liverpool are close to completing a deal for the Greek goalkeeper.
