🚨 LIVERPOOL OFFERED BARCELONA STAR: Balde could solve Kerkez problem at Anfield

Alejandro Balde could be the answer to Liverpool’s left-back problem

Liverpool have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde in the January transfer window, with intermediaries exploring a potential move to Anfield.

According to TEAMtalk, Barcelona are prepared to allow the 22-year-old to leave on loan after he fell down the pecking order under Hansi Flick. Balde has made just one first-team appearance this season and is now considering his options away from Camp Nou.

Liverpool’s interest could be particularly significant given the uncertainty surrounding their left-back position. Milos Kerkez has remained the first-choice option, but his performances have not completely convinced everyone at Anfield, while Liverpool would reportedly welcome stronger competition for the position.

Balde could provide exactly that.

The Barcelona defender is still highly rated and has already established himself at the highest level despite being only 22. His pace, attacking ability and experience in possession-based football could make him an attractive option for Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool side.

A January loan would also allow Liverpool to assess Balde in the Premier League before deciding whether to pursue a permanent deal.

With Barcelona reportedly willing to listen to offers and Balde open to a move to England, Liverpool could have a major opportunity on their hands.

If Kerkez cannot raise his level consistently, should Liverpool seriously consider bringing Balde to Anfield?
