Tottenham Hotspur have officially reached an agreement with Bahia for the permanent transfer of Alejo Veliz, with the Argentine forward set to complete his move to the Brazilian club on July 1.

Veliz joined Spurs from Rosario Central in the summer of 2023 as one of Argentina’s brightest young attacking talents. During his time in North London, he made eight first-team appearances and scored his only goal for the club in a Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion in December 2023.

In search of regular first-team football, the striker spent loan spells in Spain with Sevilla and Espanyol before returning to his boyhood club, Rosario Central, on loan for the 2025/26 season.

Now, Veliz is set to embark on a fresh challenge in Brazil after Tottenham agreed to his permanent transfer to Bahia. The move brings an end to his two-year spell with Spurs, and everyone at the club has wished him every success in the next chapter of his career.
