Liverpool Could Land a New Right Winger Alongside Bradley Barcola After Fabrizio Romano’s Latest Morning Update
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to intensify their pursuit of Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo before the summer transfer window closes.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Spurs have identified the Dutch international as another attacking option alongside Manchester City’s Savinho. However, any potential move will depend on Liverpool’s willingness to negotiate a sale.

At present, Liverpool are not actively looking to offload Gakpo, who has remained an important part of the squad since joining from PSV Eindhoven. Even so, the Reds’ search for a new right-sided attacker could influence their stance if a suitable offer arrives.

Previous reports suggest Liverpool could value Gakpo at around £70 million, with Barcelona’s valuation of Anthony Gordon believed to be a benchmark in determining the Dutchman’s price.
If Liverpool were to receive such a fee, the funds could be reinvested into strengthening the right wing. While £70 million may not be enough to secure a player of Bradley Barcola’s calibre, it could be sufficient to land a high-quality alternative such as Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh.

Adding a naturally right-footed winger like Minteh would give manager Andoni Iraola greater balance in attack, with Bradley Barcola, Victor Munoz and Rio Ngumoha also providing depth across the wide positions.
However, completing multiple transfers before the deadline remains a significant challenge. Liverpool are still believed to be in the market for another centre-forward to support Alexander Isak, as well as a new right-back and at least one centre-back.
That means the Reds could still be aiming to make as many as five signings before the transfer window shuts, making for an extremely busy end to the summer.
