Former Liverpool midfielder James Milner has returned to the club just months after retiring from professional football, taking his first steps into coaching with the Reds’ academy.
Milner was reportedly spotted at Liverpool’s academy on Saturday morning wearing full club training gear and working with the under-11s, giving youngsters the benefit of his vast experience at the highest level.
The former England international spent several successful years at Liverpool, winning major honours and establishing himself as one of the most experienced players of his generation.
Now, after calling time on his playing career this summer, Milner has immediately moved into coaching as he begins developing his skills with Liverpool’s young players.
His return could mark the beginning of a new chapter, with Milner potentially working towards a future career in management or senior coaching.
