Tottenham Keeping Tabs on Leo Scienza as Transfer Battle Intensifies
Tottenham Hotspur have resumed pre-season preparations with Roberto De Zerbi already focused on shaping his squad ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League opener against Brentford. While several new arrivals have strengthened the team, Spurs are still expected to reinforce their attacking options before the transfer window closes.
According to AS, Tottenham remain interested in Southampton forward Leo Scienza, although they now face stiff competition. Spanish clubs Real Betis and Real Sociedad are reportedly stepping up their pursuit, while Atalanta, Como, and Crystal Palace are also monitoring the Brazilian attacker.
Scienza enjoyed an impressive campaign with Southampton, contributing seven goals and 10 assists in 44 appearances despite the club missing out on promotion. Comfortable on the left wing or in an attacking midfield role, the 27-year-old’s creativity, dribbling ability, and versatility make him an appealing option for De Zerbi’s attacking system.
Southampton’s failure to secure promotion has increased speculation over Scienza’s future, with several clubs sensing an opportunity to secure his signature this summer.
For Tottenham, the key question is whether they see Scienza as a squad addition or a player capable of making a real impact in the first team. If Spurs are serious about signing him, they may need to move quickly before interest from Spain gathers further momentum.
