Kate Garraway ‘might sell £4million home’ after Derek Draper’s tragic death – report
The Good Morning Britain presenter is reportedly may sell the £4million home where she looked after husband Derek Draper
Friends of Kate Garraway have reportedly claimed she is considering selling the £4million home she shared with husband Derek Draper before his tragic death. The Good Morning Britain presenter lives at the stunning North London property with her children.
But pals say she might need to put the luxury home on the market after being ‘wiped out’ by the cost of caring for Derek following his Covid diagnosis, reports Mail Online. Derek had been in out of hospital for three years.
He received full-time care. The family funded two trips to Mexico for Derek to undergo pioneering treatment.

Their home was also radically adapted to enable him to leave his hospital bed and return to his loved ones. The former political lobbyist sadly died earlier this month, aged 56, after suffering a cardiac arrest.
A friend told The Daily Mail: “It is so sad for Kate. Not only has she had to watch her beloved husband suffer for almost four years, but her financial worries have never been far away from her thoughts.
“It has cost hundreds of thousands of pounds to look after Derek and do everything she could to get him better, but it’s left her struggling. The house is about all she has left financially and she is now facing up to the fact it might have to be sold.
“It’s where she and Derek were so happy and also where her two children grew up – but bills are bills and they have to be paid. It’s dreadful for Kate.”
Kate has previously been open about the financial cost of caring for someone who is extremely ill. She said: “As anyone with a loved one who is seriously ill knows, the costs go through the roof in so many ways.”
