LIVERPOOL COULD SIGN THEIR NEXT PHILIPPE COUTINHO FOR JUST £21M

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Mexican wonderkid Gilberto Mora, with reports claiming the Club Tijuana star has a £21 million release clause in his contract.

According to reports from Mexico, the 18-year-old attacking midfielder has attracted interest from several European giants, including Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund. Arsenal have also reportedly approached Tijuana over a potential January move, increasing the competition for his signature.

Liverpool’s interest in Mora is understandable. The Reds have continued investing in young talents, and the opportunity to develop at Anfield could make the club an attractive destination for the Mexican sensation.

The comparison with Philippe Coutinho is particularly intriguing. Coutinho became a fan favourite at Liverpool thanks to his creativity, technical ability and eye for the spectacular. While Mora has a long way to go before reaching those heights, his potential has generated excitement among football supporters.

With Julian Ward overseeing Liverpool’s transfer plans, Mora could represent an exciting long-term investment if the reported release clause is accurate.

However, Liverpool are not alone in the race, and no agreement has been confirmed. The Reds may need to move quickly if they want to beat their rivals to one of Mexico’s most promising young talents.

Should Liverpool trigger Gilberto Mora’s reported £21 million release clause and make him their next big midfield project?
