Reports in recent weeks have suggested that Marcos Senesi has agreed to join Tottenham on a free transfer following the expiration of his Bournemouth contract, with Spurs believed to be preparing a four-year deal for the Argentine centre-back.
While several sources, including Florian Plettenberg, have described the move as virtually complete, the lack of an official announcement has led to speculation that another club could attempt to intervene. Liverpool have been linked with a potential late move, particularly after reports that Andoni Iraola could be heading to Anfield and may seek a reunion with Senesi.
However, respected Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe has dismissed concerns of a hijack, insisting there is no danger of Liverpool stealing the deal at this stage.
As for the delay in confirming the transfer, Tottenham are reportedly waiting for Senesi’s current contract to officially expire before making an announcement. The same situation applies to Andy Robertson, with only final formalities believed to remain before both deals are made official.
