🚨 MOHAMMED KUDUS TO MISS THREE GHANA FIXTURES — REASON BEHIND WITHDRAWAL REVEALED

Tottenham Hotspur forward Mohammed Kudus has withdrawn from Ghana’s squad for the upcoming international fixtures as he continues his recovery following a lengthy injury layoff.

Kudus had initially been included in Carlos Queiroz’s 24-man squad for Ghana’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia, as well as the friendly against Morocco.

The 26-year-old recently returned to competitive football after spending around seven months out with injury. He has gradually increased his involvement with Tottenham and recently made his first start since January in the Carabao Cup against Liverpool.

After playing more than 70 minutes for Tottenham, Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz explained that discussions with Kudus led to the decision that it would be better for the player to remain with his club, rest and continue working toward full fitness.

Kudus will therefore miss Ghana’s fixtures against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia, followed by the international friendly against Morocco. Ghana’s schedule includes the Côte d’Ivoire qualifier on September 24, The Gambia on September 29 and Morocco on October 4.

His place in the squad has been taken by Derby County forward Mohammed Fuseini, who received a late call-up.

The decision means Kudus’ return to the Black Stars after his long absence will have to wait, with the player instead continuing his rehabilitation and fitness work at Tottenham.
