Liverpool Renew Michael Olise Interest as Bayern Munich Star Emerges as Long-Term Target
Liverpool could reportedly make another move for Michael Olise in the future, with the Bayern Munich winger once again being linked with a potential switch to Anfield.
The French international has remained on Liverpool’s radar despite Bayern’s reluctance to part with one of their most important attacking players. Reports earlier this year suggested that the Reds explored the possibility of signing Olise, but Bayern made it clear that they were not looking to sell.
Now, fresh reports have suggested that Liverpool are considering a longer-term approach for the 24-year-old, with Olise reportedly open to the possibility of moving to Anfield. A report published on September 17 claims Liverpool are planning for a potential move in next summer’s window.
Olise’s profile makes the interest understandable. The former Crystal Palace winger has developed into a major attacking force since joining Bayern, combining creativity, goals and the ability to operate from the right side.
That position is particularly interesting for Liverpool following Mohamed Salah’s departure. The Reds have already invested heavily in their attack, most notably bringing in Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain for a reported club-record fee, but the club continues to be linked with players capable of making an impact from the right.
Liverpool’s interest in Olise is therefore unlikely to disappear completely.
However, Bayern Munich remain a major obstacle. Earlier reports indicated that the German giants wanted to keep Olise and were considering a lucrative new contract to discourage interest from clubs such as Liverpool and Real Madrid. There have also been reports of a potential release clause running into the hundreds of millions of euros.
For Liverpool, any future pursuit would consequently depend on Bayern’s stance, Olise’s situation and the financial demands involved.
For now, there is no confirmed agreement between Liverpool and Olise. But with reports continuing to connect the player with Anfield, his name is clearly one Liverpool supporters may continue hearing in future transfer windows.
And if the Reds eventually decide that another statement signing is required on the right side of their attack, Michael Olise could once again become one of the biggest names on their transfer radar.
