🚨 Liverpool Eye Aston Villa Star as Potential Replacement for ‘Lazy’ Iraola Regular Amid 2027 Transfer Speculation.

🚨 Liverpool Eye Aston Villa Goalkeeper Zion Suzuki as Alisson’s Future at Anfield Comes Under Threat

Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Aston Villa goalkeeper Zion Suzuki as uncertainty continues to surround Alisson Becker’s long-term future.

The Brazilian attracted interest from Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan during the summer transfer window. However, Liverpool blocked any potential departure after asking him to remain at Anfield for another season.

The Reds had already signed Giorgi Mamardashvili 18 months earlier, viewing the Georgian international as a possible long-term successor to Alisson. Nevertheless, fresh reports suggest Liverpool could still enter the market for another goalkeeper if their current No.1 departs next summer.

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool are among several top clubs monitoring Suzuki as they evaluate their goalkeeping options amid growing uncertainty over Alisson’s future.

Transfer insider Graeme Bailey claims the Brazilian’s long-term situation is being discussed internally at Anfield as the club considers its next move.

Liverpool are also expecting young Belgian goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans to arrive in 2027, while Mamardashvili remains part of their squad. However, the Georgian is reportedly not regarded as the definitive long-term replacement for Alisson, prompting the club to continue exploring alternatives.

Meanwhile, Brazilian side Flamengo are also considering a potential summer move for Alisson.

According to Sport Witness, the goalkeeper’s name has been discussed internally at the club, although there is no agreement on whether to pursue the deal.

Some Flamengo officials reportedly believe his experience, quality and reputation would make him an excellent signing. Others, however, have concerns about his age, recent performances for Brazil and the club’s financial situation.

Alisson’s Latest Performance Raises More Questions

The goalkeeper has also come under criticism following Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat to Fenerbahce in the Champions League.

Liverpool had been leading 2-1 before the Turkish side produced a late comeback, with Archie Brown equalising before Vedat Muriqi scored the winning goal with 11 minutes remaining.

Former Rangers and Scotland striker Ally McCoist questioned Alisson’s positioning for Muriqi’s decisive header, arguing that the Brazilian should have come off his line to claim the cross.

McCoist said the ball remained in the air for a considerable period and questioned why the goalkeeper failed to come out and collect it.

It is another occasion on which Alisson has faced criticism for his decision-making. Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock previously described one of his actions against West Ham as ‘lazy’ after he played a risky pass directly towards Jarrod Bowen inside his own penalty area.

With questions emerging over his performances and long-term future, Liverpool could be preparing for a major change between the posts.
