Tottenham Hotspur remain keen to land Bournemouth wonderkid Eli Junior Kroupi, even as the Cherries continue to insist the teenage forward is not available for transfer. However, sources indicate Spurs are already preparing backup plans by identifying two alternative striker targets.
New head coach Roberto De Zerbi has made Kroupi one of his priority attacking targets as he reshapes Tottenham’s squad for the upcoming season. The French youth international is understood to be attracted by the opportunity to work under the Italian, but Spurs are aware that completing a deal will be far from straightforward.
Bournemouth remain firm in their stance, valuing Kroupi at around £85 million (€100m/$114m), a price that has reportedly discouraged Barcelona from pursuing the highly rated youngster.
With uncertainty surrounding the move—and Richarlison’s future also under the spotlight—Tottenham have stepped up their search for alternative options.
One player attracting serious interest is Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani. The Kosovo international enjoyed an impressive breakthrough Bundesliga campaign, scoring in double figures and emerging as one of Europe’s brightest young forwards. Barcelona have monitored him for some time, while RB Leipzig have held talks with his representatives. Tottenham are also understood to have made enquiries and are closely tracking his situation.
Another name under consideration is Nicolo Tresoldi of Club Brugge. The Germany youth international impressed in his first season in Belgium after arriving from Hannover, netting 19 goals and drawing interest from several top European clubs. Roma, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal have all made checks on the 21-year-old, while Spurs have also completed background work as they assess their attacking options.
Despite exploring these alternatives, Tottenham still consider Kroupi their top priority. The North London club remain hopeful Bournemouth could soften their stance before the transfer window closes, but by monitoring Asllani and Tresoldi, Spurs are ensuring they have strong contingency plans if a deal for their preferred target proves impossible.
