Alexis Mac Allister has reportedly emerged as a transfer target this summer, with fresh claims suggesting the Liverpool midfielder could be open to leaving Anfield.
The Argentine international is said to be looking for a new challenge and reportedly feels his spell in the Premier League has run its course.
According to reports, Mac Allister has been offered to Real Madrid, although it remains unclear whether the Spanish giants will pursue a deal. Liverpool are believed to value the midfielder at around £85 million.
Journalist Miguel Serrano claims Mac Allister, who is under contract until June 2028, believes it is the right time to move on. He also stated that the proposal was made by the same intermediary who previously offered Enzo Fernández to Real Madrid, rather than by the player’s agent.
Since arriving at Liverpool, Mac Allister has established himself as one of the club’s most influential midfielders, playing a major role in their Premier League title success while continuing to shine for Argentina on the international stage.
Although the 27-year-old would strengthen Real Madrid’s midfield, the reported £85 million price tag could prove to be a stumbling block, especially with the club looking to reinforce several positions. However, potential departures, including Eduardo Camavinga, could help generate funds if Madrid decide to make a move.
For Liverpool, losing a player of Mac Allister’s quality would be a significant setback, and they would likely need to secure a top-class replacement should he depart.
