Tottenham receive boost as winger ready to accept move, pending €60m agreement

Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as a serious contender for Rafael Leao, with fresh reports suggesting the Portuguese winger is eager to make the move if ENIC agrees to meet AC Milan’s €60 million valuation.

Spurs have already strengthened significantly this summer, bringing in six major signings, including Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, as Roberto De Zerbi continues reshaping his squad. The Italian coach is now focused on adding a top-class left winger, and Leao has become one of his leading targets.

TEAMtalk previously reported that Tottenham are interested in signing the AC Milan star, with sources indicating that new Milan manager Ruben Amorim is open to his departure. Leao is also believed to be keen on a fresh challenge and willing to consider Spurs’ proposal.

Italian journalist Daniele Longo has now claimed that the 26-year-old’s preferred destination is the Premier League, with Tottenham firmly at the top of his list. According to Longo, Leao is prepared to wait for Spurs and would gladly accept the move if the North London club submits a €60 million bid, despite the absence of UEFA Champions League football.

Further backing has come from journalist Enzo Bucchioni, who believes the transfer has a strong chance of happening. He reports that De Zerbi is pushing to reunite with Leao and that the player’s relationship with agent Jorge Mendes—who has close ties with Milan’s transfer dealings—could help smooth negotiations. Bucchioni also suggests Milan’s €60 million asking price is well within Tottenham’s financial reach.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also stated that AC Milan are open to selling Leao this summer. While Christian Pulisic remains a key figure in the club’s plans, Romano says Leao is no longer viewed as part of Milan’s long-term project, making a summer exit increasingly likely if the right offer arrives.

With De Zerbi eager to strengthen his attack and Leao reportedly ready to make the switch, attention now turns to whether ENIC will approve the €60 million deal that could bring one of Europe’s most exciting wingers to North London.
