ANDY ROBERTSON EXPLAINS HIS AMBITION TO HELP TOTTENHAM RETURN TO THE TOP
Andy Robertson has opened up about his determination to help Tottenham Hotspur rediscover their former strength and return to competing at the highest level.
The Scottish defender joined Spurs after bringing his successful nine-year spell at Liverpool to an end. Despite having other opportunities, Robertson viewed Tottenham as the right challenge for the next stage of his career.
He admitted that the club’s recent struggles made the move even more appealing, as he wanted to feel important and play a major role in rebuilding the team.

Robertson believes Tottenham have the quality and ambition to turn things around, but insists everyone at the club must share the same determination and commitment.
He also highlighted the importance of building stronger relationships within the squad, particularly following a summer in which several new players arrived.
The defender pointed to the team’s training camp in Marbella as an important moment in bringing everyone together. Players spent time getting to know one another away from football, helping to create a stronger connection between the squad and coaching staff.
Robertson also praised manager Roberto De Zerbi’s ambition, explaining that the manager made his intentions clear during conversations before the transfer.
According to the Scotland international, De Zerbi wants to restore Tottenham’s status and build a team capable of achieving major success.
Robertson believes the challenge will require patience, hard work and a collective effort, but he is confident the squad can make significant progress if everyone continues moving in the same direction.
Having enjoyed considerable success at Liverpool, the experienced defender now wants to bring that winning mentality to north London and help Tottenham reach the level their supporters expect.
