The former Spurs captain also revealed that he established an excellent understanding with Van de Ven from the beginning of their time together. According to Romero, they brought out the best in each other, with both defenders benefiting from their partnership.
He considers Van de Ven a very talented centre-back and clearly holds him in high regard.
