Everton’s new owner makes £20m+ deal his top priority – sources
Dan Friedkin will make a £20million-plus stadium naming rights deal a top priority if his Everton takeover deal is completed, sources have told Football Insider.
Roma chairman Friedkin is understood to be close to striking an exclusivity agreement with Farhad Moshiri. The US businessman – who is valued at £4.8billion – has beaten multiple other bids tabled for the Merseyside club.
Sources have told Football Insider that a new naming rights deal with a value of around £20million per season for Bramley Moore Dock will be a top priority for Friedkin.
Everton are on the brink of a third successive breach of the Profit and Sustainability Rules after facing two points deductions already last season.
They could be forced to sell star players this summer in order to balance their books and avoid a third deduction.
