The Atlanta Hawks are not the same team the Boston Celtics are used to. Trae Young is out and a new, high-intensity brand of defensive pressure is in. Ever since halftime of their first game Monday evening, Dejounte Murray has been on a defensive tear and the Hawks have beaten the Celtics with physicality.

Even with Boston’s starters healthy for the first time in weeks with Jrue Holiday returning from a shoulder sprain, they could not overcome Murray’s masterpiece of misses.

The Hawks guard buried the game-winner over Holiday for a 123-122 overtime win, finishing with 44 points on 18-of-44 shooting. Murray became the first player in the NBA to take more than 40 shots but shoot below 45 percent since James Harden on Nov. 16, 2019, per Stathead.
