- DURHAM — Head men’s basketball coach Jon Scheyer has agreed to a new six-year contract that will last through the 2028–2029 season, according to a statement made on Saturday by Nina King, vice president and director of athletics at Duke University.
In 2023–24, the 2010 Duke graduate, who initially agreed to a five-year contract upon being elected head coach, will begin his second season in that role.
“Jon Scheyer has seamlessly continued the championship culture in Duke Basketball with his relentless energy, passion and attention to detail,” stated King. “He and his employees have the greatest expectations for their group.
