
The Good Morning Britain presenter is deeply concerned for missing teenager Jay Slater
Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid said Jay Slater’s disappearance in Tenerife is her “worst nightmare”.
Susanna, a mum to three boys – Sam, 21, Finn, 20, and Jack, 19 – spoke about the teenager’s disappearance on Good Morning Britain.
The 19-year-old went missing on June 17 after attending a music festival while on holiday in Tenerife. He last contacted one of his friends with a message about being stranded “in the middle of nowhere” with only 1% battery remaining on his phone,
Discussing the situation with her co-host, Adil Ray, Susanna Reid said: “It is an utter mystery. As the mother of a teenager, three boys, it is your worst nightmare.” She added: “The call comes through, ‘My phone’s about to die, I don’t know where I am.’ And once that phone battery’s gone, it’s obviously impossible to trace him. Honestly, what on earth?”.
