Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of wide player Rodrigo Gomes from Braga on an initial five-year contract.
The Athletic reported earlier this week that the 20-year-old Portugal youth international would move to Molineux in a €15million (£12.7m) deal one a five-year deal with the option to extend by 12 months.
Gomes — who has been capped up to the under-21 level for Portugal — attracted significant interest from a range of suitors including Atletico Madrid, Bournemouth and teams in Germany.
He scored nine goals and provided eight assists across 36 appearances on loan at Portuguese top flight side Estoril last season, and becomes Wolves’ second signing of the summer after making the signing of Tommy Doyle permanent.
Gomes had previously scored twice in 51 first-team appearances for Braga, and is capable of playing on either flank while he has featured both as a winger and in the wing-back position.
